Stretch-A-ssage

 Stretch-A-ssage combines the techniques of Swedish Massage (allowing the muscles to become relaxed, warm, and stretchable) with the muscular re-educational properties of PNF, dynamic, passive and active stretching.  The goal of Stretch-A-ssage is to show and make your muscles remember how far they can move,  how strong they are and most important, what it’s like to move pain-free.

 

Stretch-A-ssage is for everyone from the athlete in between events, to the person coming off one of the longest weeks at work ever, to the parent who thought they could keep up on the court over the weekend.

  • 5 Min of discussion at the beginning of the session for discussion
  • 30 Min full body massage to relax your mind and bodies muscles
  • 60 Min of a combination of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), dynamic, and static stretching
  • 5 Min of discussion at the beginning of the session for discussion

1)      Neck stretch (flexion, extension, L and R rotation, L and R lateral flexion)

2)      Shoulders (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, L and R rotation)

3)      Bicep and Triceps (flexion and extension)

4)      Wrist (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, L and R rotation)

5)      Low Back and Waist (L and R rotation, flexion and extension,

          L and R lateral flexion)

6)      Quads and Hamstrings (flexion and extension)

7)      Ankle (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction)
